In addition to answering some basic questions about Sam Horn’s services, we also thought we’d change things up a bit. First, we have created a list of questions for you to ask yourself. Sam helps clients to clarify and crystallize how they are “special” — and strategize how they can make a “good living” (literally and figuratively) getting paid to do work they love with people they respect.

Ask Yourself…

  • What are your strategic goals?  Do you want to develop a one-of-a-kind keynoteFinish a quality book in record time?  Craft a signature message that motivates meeting planners to call you?  Develop a full-time career as an IDEApreneur?

  • Do you want to assess the commercial viability of your idea or topic and evaluate its potential before you invest a lot of time, effort, and money in rolling it out?

  • Do you need help identifying your P.O.D. (Points of Distinction) to differentiate yourself from competitors so you break out instead of blend in?

  • Are you looking for a memorable business name, one-of-a-kind slogan or book title?

  • Are you looking to go “deep” to build an enduring brand that gets you noticed . . . for all the right reasons?

  • Do you want professional guidance from a best-selling author on how to produce a compelling book proposal/manuscript that gets the attention of New York publishers?

  • Do you want insightful coaching from an award-winning speaker (2003-04 Outstanding Capital Speaker) on how to create and deliver an outstanding presentation that has audiences on the edge of their seats and that motivates meeting planners to call you?

  • Are you juggling several different topics and want to get clarity on which has the most potential payoff so you can focus on one niche instead of being all over the map?

  • Do you want to get paid to speak, write and consult on your ideas and expertise?

  • Do you want to crystallize attention-grabbing titles, taglines and elevator speeches that make your projects, products, proposals and presentations POP!?

How does Sam work as a consultant?
Most clients choose to work together face-to-face.  Working together in person allows Sam to go “deep” into your experience and expertise to develop a comprehensive “language bank” that you then POP! into proprietary intellectual capital and one-of-a-kind positioning for your company, creation or cause. Depending on your goals, you then focus on turning that into unique brands, identities, approaches, presentations and products that help you break out instead of blend in.

Clients either fly to Sam’s office in Reston, VA (ten minutes from Washington DC’s Dulles Airport) or coordinate an appointment when she’s already in their area for a speaking engagement. Sam’s consulting is sold in packages.  She will occasionally work with clients over the phone on an hourly, “time available” basis.

Can I record these consulting sessions?
You are welcome and encouraged to record your brainstorming and strategizing. Previous clients have found the results of their immersion into their project are verbal gold.  You’ll find yourself describing your project perfectly “That’s exactly what I wanted to say!” and by recording Sam’s specific “next steps” suggestions, you can listen to them again and again.  Many clients tell Sam that they hear something new each time and often have their recordings transcribed so they can cut and paste her “languaging” of their project directly into their marketing material.

You may have your own recording device, or you can check out this service - www.FreeConferencePro.com. They offer free recording, and will archive it for you as well.
